Most camp accommodations will be cabin style or they’ll use platform tents! If you’re a Camp Counsellor you will often share the cabins with your group of campers. If you’re working as Support Staff you may have separate accommodation with the other Support Staff member.
After being accepted. You'll be asked to provide detail on your skills, experiences with children and your preferred camp types. You’ll then select your preferred date and time for your AmeriCamp interview and we’ll be in touch to confirm this slot!
Upon passing your interview, we will provide you with all the information to get your application live to camps! We’ll send your application off and stay in regular contact and help find your dream placement!

Your average AmeriCamp placement normally lasts from mid-June to mid-August. If you are available from early June until late August, then even better! The more flexible you are with your dates, the more camps there are to view your application.
Sadly, we cannot accept anyone after a June 21st start date, but don’t worry we have other amazing Summer options for you such as AmeriCamp Canada, Camp Thailand, Camp Bali or other programs featured on Camp.co.uk.
