We are ecstatic that travel to the USA is open for fully vaccinated travellers from the UK and Schengen Area (EU). We are anticipating that AmeriCamp Summer 2022 will go ahead as planned but we know that things can change. Your safety and wellbeing is our top priority and we will therefore continue to monitor this situation and follow advice from the FCO (Foreign Commonwealth Office) & WHO (World Health Organisation).
For bookings made on or after the 31st December 2021, should Camps decide to cancel your placement due to COVID-19, your deposit is in safe hands. Our flexible booking policy will allow you to request a full refund or transfer your deposit and any paid program fees to a future summer AmeriCamp or one of our partner trips which can be found here. This policy is only valid if your Camp cancels your placement and no other placement can be found for you. If you cannot travel for any other reason the original terms and conditions will remain valid.
If you have any questions about your upcoming trip get in touch with the team on 0161 312 3640 and we will be happy to help.
Our flexible booking policy means that if Camps decide to change or cancel their plans this summer you will be entitled to a full refund or you can choose to transfer your booking. Transferring your booking means that your deposit any paid program fees can be moved to a future summer AmeriCamp or one of our partner trips which can be found here.
Yes, travellers from the UK and the EU must be fully vaccinated to enter the USA. Currently you must provide proof of vaccination and a negative COVID-19 test result taken no more than 3 days before travel. The CDC currently recognises anyone who has had two vaccines as fully vaccinated.
If you do not plan to be double vaccinated prior to travelling to the USA, please contact your AmeriCamp Application Coordinator as soon as possible.
There are currently no quarantine requirements for those who are fully vaccinated travelling from the UK and EU.
All of the camps that we work with will have their own COVID-19 protocols and quarantine procedures. The US Government and local state guidance has been provided for these protocols, but may vary camp to camp.
The US Embassies are now open for J1 visa appointments! We expect them to be busy now they have re-opened and therefore recommend starting your application process as soon as possible to avoid any delay when it comes to booking an appointment.
Please note: These policies are subject to change at any time and are not retroactive for bookings made or cancelled prior to December 28th 2021.
