America’s Greatest National Parks.

America may be known for its bustling and vibrant cities such as New York, Los Angeles and Chicago, but the USA is also home to some of the most beautiful national parks in the world. If you want to see more of American than just skyscrapers and neon lights, then read on! Here we are going to tell you about some of our favourite natural beauty spots in the Land of the Free.

Grand Canyon:

Arguable one of America’s most famous sights, the Grand Canyon National Park sits in the Southwestern part of the Colorado Plateau. It’s colourful rock and archaeological history make it one of America’s most fascinating natural spaces. The Park sees guest numbers of over 5 million a year and in his lifetime, President Roosevelt was huge advocate of preserving the sight for future generations of Americans and tourists.

Yellowstone:

Strewn across the states of Wyoming, Montana and Idaho is the beautiful National Park of Yellowstone. Here at Yellowstone you can explore lakes, rivers, canyons, waterfalls and mountains! Fancy seeing some American wildlife? Many hundreds of animals live here including wolves, bison, elk and even grizzly bears! Fun fact: Yellowstone was America’s very first National Park.

Yosemite:

This Park is a must see for any traveller wishing to discover California. This Northern Cali based beauty spot is home to some incredible natural sights such as glaciers, lakes, clear streams and America’s highest waterfall, Yosemite Falls. Looming large over Yosemite Valley is El Capitan, an enormous rock formation with a sheer granite face popular with climbers.

Acadia:

Comprised of mainland and island, Acadia National Park is a divine mix of land and shore. Said to be the first place in America to catch the sunlight each morning, Acadia’s Cadillac Mountain takes pride of place amongst these stunning surroundings. Here you can spot whales, moose and bears as well as several other wild animals.

Great Smoky Mountains:

Nestled between counties in North Carolina, The Great Smoky Mountains dominate the skyline. Carpeted with year-round wild blooms, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park offer everything from lush forests to beautiful waters. Here you can go hiking, fishing and horseback riding. You may even cross paths with raccoons, beavers and black bears!
